Christmas!

Christmas came and went so fast, I don't think I've had a chance to process it yet. I got a trip to Paris! I got a trip to Paris! Yay!

Still, it wasn't quite the same without Mom.

I've Got a Golden Ticket!

I went up to Queen Anne the other day to check out a new store called Chocolopolis. After reading "The Chocolate Connoisseur" I was ready to pick up a few bars of upscale chocolate and exercise my palette. I had been elated to find that a local woman had also read the book and opened a store just as I was thinking "somebody oughta...". The store is amazing. They have a great selection of chocolate from the world's masters and the staff is very knowledgeable.

I purchased a few bars and took them home, eager to taste my selection. Imagine my delight upon discovering a golden ticket in my purchase! I won a free bar of chocolate a week for the next year!!! I can't tell you how excited I was! I've decided to start with the Porcelana by Amedei. At $90/lb., it is the most expensive chocolate in the world. I can't wait to share it with some friends.
